Mike started his racing career in 2000 in the Enduro class and competed in the Starter Stock class in 2001 & 2002. In 2003 Mike moved to the IMCA Modified Class & won rookie of the year. In 2005 he won the Hay River Championship & finished 4th overall in the 2006 Midnight Sun Championship. In 2008 he shared a car with his mom and then in 2009 he hit the track in a brand new car and had a very successful season finishing 2nd overall in Hythe & 3rd overall in Canada. He set a new track record of 14.98 which still remains unbeaten. Mike finished the season off with a bang by winning the 1st IMCA Napa Auto Parts Super National Event in Hythe competing against 23 mods. After such a close battle in 2009 Mike had a goal set for 2010 and hit the track with a new fiery paint scheme and it was one of his most memorable seasons. Mike traveled to EIR and was honored to win the Roy Ross Memorial. He captured his 1st ever Championship at the Hythe Motor Speedway and after a tie breaker finished 2nd overall in Canada. Although 2011 saw many podium finishes, due to engine failure he ended the season in 4th but finished the season on a high note by winning the Super National Event & then rebounded in 2012 finishing 2nd overall. Mike debuted yet another new look in 2013 & finished 4th and then regained momentum once again winning the Championship in 2014. 2015 was another great season for Mike winning the Hythe Motor Speedway Championship and as well he tied with Jamie Krzysik for the 2015 Super Nationals Title. Mike sold his car at the end of the 2015 season but in 2016 he competed in his dad’s #72 car at the 20th anniversary of the Roy Ross Memorial at EIR and the IMCA Super Nationals in Hythe. In 2017 Mike competed in his brother BJ’s car for the IMCA Super Nationals and was thrilled to win the Super Nationals Championship making that his 5th Championship win of this prestigious event. Mike was very excited to return to the track full time for the 2018 season with a brand new look and it was a very exciting & competitive season. He finished 3rd overall in point standings & in the Super Nationals Event. He would like to wish his fellow competitors good luck for the 2019 season.
